Founded by Alan Blakeney & Simon Leigh in 1986, Blakeney Leigh Ltd is now run by John Ottley (BSc MRICS, RMAPS, MFPWS) & Stuart Smith (BSc MCIOB, MFPWS, AssocRICS).

Blakeney Leigh Limited are a professional, building surveying and property consultancy company, predominantly working within the public sector. Our core activities are Building Surveying, Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Architectural Design. We do anything from planning applications, building control, party walls, full structural surveys, up to large scale managing of property refurbishments and new builds including modular homes.

In all aspects of our responsibilities, we work closely with our employees, clients and other stakeholders We are accountable for ensuring we minimise that impact by approaching our business aims responsibly and by responding to the different concerns and demands of our stakeholders, while remaining profitable and competitive. This means conducting our activities according to meticulous ethical, professional and legal standards. In this way, Blakeney Leigh Limited continues to deliver high-quality building surveying and multi-disciplinary services that help ensure a sustainable built environment for future generations.

We take Health & Safety very seriously and ensure our team have the necessary qualifications and health & Safety training to meet standards.

We have recently moved into our new head office in Greenwich, whilst we undertake projects throughout the UK. The company has 15 employees (2 directors, 6 surveyors, 2 Clerk of Works, 2 architects & 3 admin staff).

The value of works undertaken can range between £500 up to 10M, whilst a small project may last a week to 4 weeks, and a large project can last between 6 months to 2 years.

Blakeney Leigh Ltd hold a number of accreditations ranging from Alcumus, CHAS, SSIP, Safecontrctor, RICS, ISO 9001 & 14001.
