Hilson Moran is a leading environmental design and engineering consultancy supporting all built environment sectors. Our design led strategic thinking puts health & wellbeing and the protection of the environment at the heart of everything we do, embracing creativity, innovation and technical rigour.

We operate across the UK and internationally, with offices in London, Manchester and Cambridge, and have circa 220 employees. We are a B Corp company and also certified to ISO 9001 and 14001. As educators and influencers within the built environment, we sit on numerous professional bodies and panels and have published our own carbon manifesto.

We have broad-ranging expertise which incorporates MEPH and building services engineering, energy and utilities infrastructure planning (and procurement), operational and whole life carbon, sustainability and certification. We also have a range of environmental specialisms, including air quality, ecology, biodiversity, water management and flood risk. Other expertise includes vertical transportation, façade access, fire engineering, security, smart buildings and building acoustics.

We develop and utilise the most advanced digital simulation software to analyse the performance of buildings and their interface with external environments. We use these tools to help provide expert advice on energy, sustainability and other environmental outcomes. We deliver all design projects in a full BIM environment and have developed in-house technologies to improve collaboration, producing complex and intricate designs.

We are also able to draw on the capabilities of our sister company AKTII, a market-leading provider of structural and civil engineering consultancy services. Both Hilson Moran and AKTII form part of the Tyrens Group of companies, a Swedish interdisciplinary design and engineering firm with more than 2,650 employees and subsidiaries across the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania and Estonia.
