Hilson Moran is a leading international environmental design and engineering consultancy supporting all built environment sectors. We operate across the UK and internationally form offices in London, Manchester, Cambridge and Farnborough with circa 220 employees. We are recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work’. As educators and influencers within the Built Environment we sit on numerous professional bodies and panels including (UKGBC, LETI, CIBSE, Better Building Partnership) and have our own carbon manifesto.

We have a broad ranging expertise which incorporates mechanical, electrical and public health (MEPH) and building services engineering; energy and utilities infrastructure planning (and procurement); operational and whole life carbon consultancy; sustainability and certification. We also have a range of environmental specialisms including air quality, ecology, biodiversity, water management and flood risk. Other in-house expertise includes vertical transportation, façade access, fire engineering, security, smart buildings and building acoustics.

We develop and utilise the most advanced digital simulation software to analyse the performance of buildings and their interface with external environments. We use these tools to help provide expert advice on energy, sustainability, health and other environmental outcomes. We deliver all design projects in a full BIM environment and have developed in house technologies to improve collaboration to produce more complex and intricate designs.

We are also able to draw on the capabilities of our sister company AKTII, a market leading provider of structural and civil engineering consultancy services.

Both Hilson Moran and AKTII form part of the Tyrens Group of companies, a Swedish inter-disciplinary design and engineering firm with more than 2,650 employees and subsidiaries across the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania and Estonia.
