J Davies Building Limited

J Davies Building are essentially a family run business originally started in the 1970s by
John (Jack) Davies.

The business started as a small maintenance contractor working for what was then Brighton Borough Council before the creation of the Unitary Authority of Brighton & Hove City Council.
Jack’s son Michael along with another employee John Williams took over the business in 1990 working pretty much exclusively for Brighton Council carrying out repairs and maintenance to housing stock properties and public buildings.

Over the last 30 yrs John and Michael have transformed J Davies Building into a more diverse contractor with a larger client base predominantly in the public and commercial refurbishment and maintenance sector Our clients now include not only local authority clients but schools, hospitals, property management companies and hotel chains.

We offer a wide range of expertise in refurbishment and property maintenance which includes external groundworks, drainage, garden wall construction, construction of steps, fencing and fabrication of metal handrails and balustrades. We are also NRSW approved and can work on the public highway.

Our external services also include, roof tiling, leadwork replacement, flat roof recovering and all facia sofit and rainwater goods replacement and repairs.

We offer a repointing service utilizing the most up to date and efficient dust suppression equipment.
Rendering works including repairs and complete removal and replacement and repainting.

Replacement doors and windows in UPVC or timber

Replacement of failed lintels and wall ties. Brick stitching and installation of structural ties.

Internally we offer a complete refurbishment package to include strip out and installation of new kitchens and bathrooms, plastering and damp works, carpentry, decorating and floor coverings.

The majority of these works are undertaken by our own full time employed teams we do however outsource the flooring installation works.

We can also offer scaffolding, electrical and heating services if required. This would be subcontracted to trusted and approved contractors.

J Davies Building believe that we have the experience, knowledge and expertise within our company to undertake the works required and successfully deliver quality void refurbishment projects for Brighton and Hove City Council.
