Groundwork has a 40-year track record of supporting practical action to create a fair and green future in which people, places and nature thrive. We are a charity and limited company operating across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
We support local communities and businesses to build capacity and resilience as this is vital if we are to tackle hardship, achieve a just transition to net-zero and help nature recover in a way that reduces inequality and leads to better work and healthier, happier lives. We work with people who are facing multiple challenges and in places that are lacking social infrastructure and economic opportunities. Many of the places we prioritise are also increasingly vulnerable to extreme weather events.

We have a long history of working with communities and public, private and charitable partners to help create high-quality, accessible public spaces . Our work is delivered by a dedicated team of Chartered and Senior Landscape Architects and practitioners who bring together expertise from construction, design, horticulture, ecology, architecture and planning. Their deep understanding of how public spaces function informs robust and relevant landscape solutions. All staff are Chartered Members of the Landscape Institute, and Groundwork is a Landscape Institute Registered Practice.
